Bears bring back CB McManis

Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago Bears re-signed cornerback Sherrick McManis to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

In four NFL seasons — two with Houston and two with Chicago — McManis has totaled 44 tackles, an interception and two passes defensed. He also has one blocked punt to his credit.

The 26-year-old Northwestern product has been an important member of the Bears’ special teams unit the past two seasons. His 25 special teams tackles over the past two seasons are tied for second most by a Bears player since 2012.
