Avril Lavigne Attacked by Fan Onstage During Brazil Show

To say that she was actually “attacked” might be a bit much; but one of Avril Lavigne‘s fans did take things a bit far at Avril’s concert in Brazil on Tuesday night. As Lavigne sat on top of a piano, about to play a tribute to Coldplay, a fan suddenly rushed onstage towards her. The fan didn’t seem to want to hurt Avril, just get a little closer to the pop/punk star. A security guard, who is also Avril’s brother, quickly got the fan under control and rushed her off-stage. Avril only let out a small scream before brushing the whole thing off and laughing about it seconds later; she then continued on with her show. Avril plans to take a break from her world tour for a few weeks so that she can appear at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. In September her tour takes her to Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and France.
