Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Recaps
Fort Myers, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Marc-Eddy Norelia netted 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the second-seeded Florida Gulf Coast Eagles easily downed the seventh-seeded Jacksonville Dolphins, 81-63, in the first round of the Atlantic Sun Tournament at Alico Arena.
Brett Comer tallied a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists, and Julian DeBose notched his own with 14 points and 10 rebounds for Florida Gulf Coast (22-9). Demetris Morant also added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Kori Babineaux scored a game-high 20 points to pace Jacksonville (10-22), while Marcellous Bell added 15 points off the bench in the loss.
Florida Gulf Coast advances to play third-seeded USC Upstate in the semifinal round of the Atlantic Sun Tournament on Thursday.

Spartanburg, SC (SportsNetwork.com) – Ty Greene netted 21 points with four assists to lead the third-seeded USC Upstate Spartans past the sixth-seeded Kennesaw State Owls, 90-54, in first-round Atlantic Sun Tournament action at the Hodge Center.
Shunquez Stephens chipped in 14 points with six rebounds for USC Upstate (22-10), while Michael Buchanan tallied a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Josh Cuthbertson added 11 points of his own in the win.
Nigel Pruitt scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds to pace Kennesaw State (10-22), while Damien Wilson added 10 points in the defeat.
USC Upstate advances to the semifinal round of the tournament to take on second-seeded Florida Gulf Coast Thursday.
