Angels place Skaggs on DL
St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Los Angeles Angels placed pitcher Tyler Skaggs on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a left forearm strain.
The 23-year-old lefty had a no-hitter going when the injury forced him to exit with two outs in the fifth inning of Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Skaggs is 5-5 with a 4.30 earned run average in 18 starts this season for the Angels.
Pitcher Michael Roth was recalled from Double-A Arkansas in a corresponding move.
