Alouettes place LB Verdone on 9-game injured list

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) – The Montreal Alouettes placed linebacker Jordan Verdone on the nine-game injured list Friday.

Verdone sustained an injured knee in last Thursday’s 32-27 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos.

The Als, who have suffered injuries to key personnel in the early going and have won just two of five games, have a bye this week before returning to action on Aug. 8 against the Toronto Argonauts.

Montreal also announced the addition of defensive lineman Scott Paxson to the practice roster.
