Alouettes kicker Whyte draws fine for comments
Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – The Canadian Football league issued an undisclosed fine to Montreal Alouettes kicker Sean Whyte on Wednesday.
Whyte was critical of referee Andre Proulx during Montreal’s 27-24 setback to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday.
According to the Globe and Mail, Whyte’s dispute stems from the fact that he felt he was run into by Hamilton defender Rico Murray during a missed field- goal attempt.
There was no flag on the play, and Hamilton’s Brandon Banks returned the ball 107 yards for the go-ahead touchdown.
