49ers release RB James
Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) – The San Francisco 49ers waived running back LaMichael James on Monday.
The 2012 second-round pick had a disappointing stint with the team. He played in just 15 games, rushing for 184 yards on 41 carries while also catching five passes for 45 yards.
James had just two carries for zero yards in Sunday’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys and was displaced by rookie Carlos Hyde as the team’s No. 2 running back behind Frank Gore.
