49ers re-sign CB Cox

Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Francisco 49ers re-signed cornerback Perrish Cox to a one-year deal.

In 2013, Cox appeared in nine regular-season games and all three postseason contests for the 49ers. He also played two regular-season games for the Seattle Seahawks and finished the season with five tackles.

In 42 career regular-season games (nine starts), Cox has registered 76 tackles, 16 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception. He’s also contributed on special teams, returning 12 kickoffs for a 21.2-yard average.
