Phoenix Suns (28-22) at Portland Trail Blazers (33-16), 10:30 p.m. (ET)
(SportsNetwork.com) - The Portland Trail Blazers only have three wins in their last 11 games and one of those eight losses came against the Phoenix Suns.
The Trail Blazers seek a measure of revenge Thursday with the Suns in town.
Portland dropped a 118-113 decision at Phoenix on Jan. 21, as Eric Bledsoe led the hosts with a career-high 33 points and Isaiah Thomas netted 27. The Blazers were led by Nicolas Batum's 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews scored 22 points apiece.
The Suns have won three in a row and nine of the last 12 games against the Trail Blazers, who did not have LaMarcus Aldridge in the first matchup because of a thumb injury. Portland has won eight of the last 10 games in this series in Rip City.
The Blazers ended a three-game slide with a 103-102 victory versus the Utah Jazz on Tuesday thanks to Aldridge, who had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and made the clinching free throws in crunch time. Lillard scored 25 points and Matthews added 21 for the Blazers.
Robin Lopez contributed 11 points in his return from missing 23 games with a broken hand. He suffered a facial laceration in the third quarter.
"Everyone's back to what they're accustomed to, where they've been playing for so long," Matthews said of having Lopez back. "He just gives us something we don't have."
Lillard felt the same way and said it was great to have Lopez's presence back on the floor.
Portland has a 21-5 home record this season and will play the next two games in the Lone Star State against Dallas and Houston. The Trail Blazers have lost six in a row on the road.
The Suns have dropped two straight and four of the last six games, including Monday's 102-101 decision versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Jeff Green's three- point play with 4.5 seconds remaining put the Grizzlies ahead and Marc Gasol's block just before the buzzer sealed the win.
Gasol got a piece of Suns forward Markieff Morris' elbow jumper to cap the Grizzlies' seventh straight win.
Thomas was held scoreless in the first half and still finished with 24 points, 16 in the fourth quarter alone. Bledsoe added 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, while Goran Dragic and Morris scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Phoenix, which shot 50 percent for the game.
A Thomas 3-pointer with 1:49 on the clock had Phoenix ahead 101-94, but the Suns went 0-for-4 from the field with a turnover over its last four touches.
"You can't worry about what's happened in the past. You have to look forward," said Dragic of the late missed opportunities.
After the Suns, who are 13-12 on the road, visit the Rose City, they will return home for a meeting with the Utah Jazz on Friday.
