Brooklyn Nets VS. Philadelphia 76ers

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Brooklyn Nets look to stop a three-game slide Friday with the Philadelphia 76ers in town.

The Nets' losing streak comes on the heels of winning three in a row and six of seven games. They fell to 0-2 on a three-game homestand at Barclays Center and dropped an 89-81 decision to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

Joe Johnson scored 17 points, Mason Plumlee added 16 and 12 rebounds, and Jarrett Jack ended with 15 points. Brooklyn point guard Deron Williams played only four minutes because of a rib fracture and is out indefinitely.

Brooklyn had 18 turnovers and made 40.5 percent from the field.

"We just had a lot of careless mistakes, including myself," said Johnson. "That can't happen. We're here at home, we have to keep our crowd into it."

The Nets, who have a 6-4 mark with Jack running the point, are 8-10 at home and will visit Detroit on Saturday.

Philadelphia has lost 11 of its last 14 games, including Wednesday's 97-77 setback to the Milwaukee Bucks at Wells Fargo Center.

K.J. McDaniels scored 14 points and Nerlens Noel added 13 for the Sixers, who beat the short-handed Cavaliers on Monday for their first home victory of the season. Tony Wroten, the subject of recent trade rumors, had 12 points.

The 76ers never led in the game and were held to 11 points in the first quarter and 17 in the fourth. Milwaukee shot 53.9 percent for the game.

"We were lost most of the night and that resulted in the poorest game of the year, in my opinion," Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said.

The Sixers are winless in their last five road games and 4-14 as the guest. They have a 4-14 record against teams from the East and will start a quick homestand versus Indiana and Atlanta this weekend.

Philadelphia has lost the first two meetings with Brooklyn this season and the Atlantic Division foes will square off again March 14 in south Philly.

The Nets have won four in a row and six of their last seven games versus the 76ers. Philadelphia hasn't won in five trips to Brooklyn since the team moved there prior to the 2012-13 season.
