Viera, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - David Phelps struck out four over three scoreless innings in the Miami Marlins' 4-0 win over the Washington Nationals in Grapefruit League action.

Vin Mazzaro followed Phelps with three strikeouts in two innings before three Marlins pitchers finished the shutout.

Gio Gonzalez struggled for Washington, allowing four runs in 2 2/3 innings. Marcell Ozuna hit a two-run double off Gonzalez in the first inning and singled home another run in the third.
