St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Chris Archer pitched six solid innings and the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Minnesota Twins, 4-1, in the second game of a four-game series at Tropicana Field.

Archer (3-3) allowed just one unearned run on three hits and struck out two. He has not lost a decision since June 18 against the Red Sox. Fernando Rodney pitched a scoreless ninth to notch his 21st save.

Matt Joyce and Kelly Johnson drove in two runs apiece for the Rays, who have won a season-tying six straight and 10 of their last 11 games.

Ryan Doumit drove in the lone run for the Twins, who have lost nine of their last 10 games. Starter Kyle Gibson (1-2) gave up all four runs on four hits and four walks over six frames.
