Port Charlotte, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Grady Sizemore's two-run homer in the sixth inning was the difference as the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-2, at Charlotte Sports Park.
Sizemore's blast was his first of the spring and broke a 2-2 deadlock.
Will Middlebrooks also homered, ending 2-for-3 for Boston, which got six solid innings from starter Clay Buchholz. The right-hander allowed two runs on three hits in six innings, striking out five and walking two.
Wil Myers and Jose Molina each drove in a run for the Rays.
