Recap: Seattle vs. Texas
Peoria, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth and rallied for a 9-8 Cactus League win over the Texas Rangers.
The Mariners loaded the bases with one out and Mike Dowd plated two with a ground-rule double. Cole Gillespie knocked in two more runs with a triple and scored the tying run on Chris Taylor's double.
Taylor then advanced on a passed ball and Xavier Avery drove in the go-ahead run with a single.
Seattle ace Felix Hernandez allowed four runs on four hits and struck out four in 2 1/3 innings.
Texas was led offensively by Robinson Chirinos, who was 4-for-4 with three RBI. Starter Colby Lewis gave up one hit over two scoreless innings.
