Yonder Alonso had two hits and scored three runs for the Padres. Starter James Shields allowed five runs -- three earned -- over 4 1/3 innings.

Charlie Blackmon posted two hits and a pair of runs scored. Starter Kyle Kendrick surrendered four runs -- three earned -- over 4 1/3 frames.
