Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Minnesota
Bradenton, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Neil Walker drove in the lone Pittsburgh run and Miguel Sano accounted for the only Minnesota run, as the Pirates and Twins played to a 1-1 tie in Grapefruit League action on Monday.
Walker hit an RBI double in the first inning and Santo hit his first homer of the spring in the second frame.
Pittsburgh starter Gerrit Cole allowed one run on three hits over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Five other Pirates pitchers combined to allow just one hit over the final six innings.
Ricky Nolasco started for the Twins and was charged with one run on two hits with three strikeouts.
