Recap: NY Mets vs. St. Louis
Port St. Lucie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Mets plated two runs in the seventh inning and two more in the ninth to play the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-5 draw on Friday in spring training action.
Anthony Recker and Andrew Brown both belted solo home runs off of Alexander Reyes in the seventh to pull the Mets within 5-3. After a scoreless eighth, Wilmer Flores drove home Recker with an RBI single to right, and Eric Campbell knotted the score when he plated Brown on a liner to center.
Carlos Martinez started for the Cards, allowing just a hit over three scoreless frames. His counterpart Daisuke Matsuzaka was tagged for two runs -- one earned -- on six hits over two innings.
