Granderson finished with three hits and scored a run.
New York starter Bartolo Colon gave up two runs on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
Scott Moore hit a two-run homer for St. Louis, while starter Michael Wacha allowed three runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings.
