Recap: NY Mets vs. Atlanta
Port St. Lucie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt den Dekker clubbed a two-run triple to cap New York's seven-run eighth inning, as the Mets notched an 8-2 win over the Atlanta Braves in spring training action on Sunday.
Kevin Plawecki contributed a two-run double in the rally, while New York starter Zack Wheeler struck out three and walked one over three scoreless innings of three-hit ball.
Atlanta starter Kris Medlen left the game in the fourth inning with a right forearm strain. He allowed one run on three hits while striking out two over 3 2/3 innings.
Mark Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and scored both runs for the Braves.
