Ruben Tejada went 3-for-3 with an RBI and starter Zack Wheeler tossed 5 1/3 solid innings for the Mets. Wheeler allowed two runs on five hits, striking out two and walking one.
Ervin Santana made his Braves debut, starting and allowing one run on two hits over two innings.
Ernesto Mejia homered for Atlanta, which got two hits apiece from brothers B.J. and Justin Upton.
