Albert Almora finished with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored for the Cubs, while starter Jake Arrieta earned the win after giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts over four innings.
Joc Pederson clubbed a three-run blast and Brandon McCarthy allowed six runs and eight hits over four frames in the loss.
