Fort Myers, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - James Loney and Sean Rodriguez each smacked their first home runs of the spring as the Tampa Bay Rays blanked the Boston Red Sox 8-0 on Tuesday.
David DeJesus and Jose Molina both went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, with the former also hitting a triple in the rout. Hak-Ju Lee belted a two-run double.
Chris Archer started and faced the minimum in two frames to earn the win, while his counterpart Clay Buchholtz lasted just an inning after surrendering a run on three hits.
Tampa Bay matched Boston's hit total of eight after just three innings, finishing with 16. The Red Sox went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
