Baltimore Orioles VS. Tampa Bay Rays

Recap: Baltimore vs. Tampa Bay

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Logan Forsythe and Kevin Kiermaier each hit two-run homers to help the Tampa Bay Rays to a 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.

Desmond Jennings also went deep for Tampa Bay, winners in three of its last four games. Forsythe finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

Erik Bedard (4-5) went seven-plus innings against his former team, allowing three runs on five hits with seven strikeouts.

Wei-Yin Chen (7-3) yielded all five runs in just 3 1/3 innings to absorb his first loss since May 3. He had won four straight decisions and gone 10 starts without a loss.

Jennings kicked off Tampa's power surge, leading off the game with a solo home run to left.

Sean Rodriguez singled with one away in the second inning, setting up Forsythe's first blast of the season and a 3-0 Rays lead.

Chen's forgettable outing came to an end two innings later. Forsythe singled to start the stanza. After Ryan Hanigan went down swinging, Kiermaier made it 5-0 with his home run out to right. Jennings was then walked and Baltimore manager Buck Showalter had seen enough, removing his starter.

Brad Brach took over and held the Rays without a hit over the next 1 2/3 innings.

Nick Markakis put Baltimore on the board with a solo shot to right in the sixth inning. Then in the eighth, Manny Machado crushed a two-run homer off the foul pole in left field.

Grant Balfour immediately replaced Bedard on the mound following Machado's blast and surrendered singles to Delmon Young and Markakis. Steve Pearce popped out to the infield for the second out of the inning, but Jake McGee came on and gave up Adam Jones' RBI hit to right field. The score stayed at 5-4, with Nelson Cruz ending the inning by lining out to center.

McGee stayed on for the ninth, picking up a four-out save.
