Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Myles Davis came off the bench to supply 18 points, one of six players to score in double figures, as the Xavier Musketeers claimed a 97-84 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in non-conference play at the Cintas Center.

Myles Davis converted 4-of-6 shots behind the 3-point line for the Musketeers (6-2) as the team shot a combined 11-of-21 on the perimeter on the night. Fellow reserve JP Macura accounted for 13 points, Remy Abell and Jalen Reynolds 12 points apiece and both Dee Davis and Matt Stainbrook with 10 points for the hosts.

Ricky Tarrant scored a game-high 23 points for Alabama (5-2), converting 7- of-13 shots from the floor, including 4-of-8 beyond the arc. Fellow starters Levi Randolph tallied 15 points, Shannon Hale 12 and Rodney Cooper 10 points in the losing effort.

The Tide led by as many as five points about five minutes into the meeting, but the team shot only 8-of-23 (.348) from the field in the frame, allowing Xavier to move out to a double-digit lead at the break, 41-30.

After making good on a decent 46.7 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action, Xavier jumped to a sizzling 69.6 percent accuracy, en route to the 13-point win.

The Crimson Tide came out on the short end of the decision despite shooting an impressive 52.8 percent from the field.
