Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Larry Nance Jr. scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as the Wyoming Cowboys outlasted the Northern Colorado Bears, 78-70, in a non-conference tilt at Arena Auditorium.

Josh Adams netted 14 points, Riley Grabau tacked on 13, Charles Hankerson Jr. added 12 and Derek Cooke Jr. chipped in 10 for Wyoming (1-0).

Cameron Michael finished with 21 points for Northern Colorado (0-2). Cody McDavis contributed 17 points and Dominique Lee had 13.

Wyoming clung to a 34-32 lead at halftime after shooting 54.2 percent from the floor in the first half. Northern Colorado kept pace, connecting on 48 percent.

The Cowboys heated up to 72.2 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes to hold off the Bears, who hit an even 50 percent of their shots after the break.

Wyoming made 18-of-22 free-throw attempts. Northern Colorado went 14-of-19 from the charity stripe.
