Estero, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Greg Mays recorded a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Green Bay Phoenix knock off the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 59-45, in the final of the Gulf Coast Showcase at Germain Arena.

Keifer Sykes knocked down a game-high 19 points on 7-of-17 from the field for the Phoenix (4-1), who won their third straight.

Bernard Thompson netted 14 points for the Eagles (5-1), who lost their first game of the season. Brett Comer added 10 points and five assists in the losing effort.

The Eagles struggled early on, shooting only 25 percent from the field in the first half of play, while their opponent shot 37.9 percent and went into the break with a 26-20 advantage.

The Phoenix got even better in the second half, shooting 54.6 percent from floor, while the Eagles could only manage 29.6 percent.

Green Bay outrebounded its opponent, 41-33, on the way to the convincing win. FGCU had the edge in points off turnovers, 21-9.
