Estero, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Greg Mays scored 15 points and Keifer Sykes added 12, leading Green Bay to a 66-49 victory over East Carolina in the opener of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

Jordan Fouse contributed eight points and a game-high nine rebounds for the Phoenix (2-1), who never trailed in the contest and dominated the boards by a 37-23 count.

Terry Whisnant was the lone offensive force for East Carolina (2-2) with 23 points.

Green Bay, coming off an 84-60 loss at highly ranked Wisconsin last week, scored the first seven points of Monday's contest and raced out to a 17-3 lead just past the midway point of the first half. The Phoenix led by as many as 17 before taking a 36-23 cushion to the break.

The Pirates got only as close as 12 in the second half and trailed by as many as 21.
