Bowling Green, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - TJ Price scored 22 points to lead the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers to a 77-70 victory over the Austin Peay Governors in a non-conference battle at E.A. Diddle Arena.

Trency Jackson contributed 14 points before fouling out and Chris Harrison- Docks tacked on 13 points for WKU (1-0).

Chris Horton finished with 15 points to pace APSU (0-1). Chris Freeman added 13 points, Josh Robinson dropped in 12 and Zavion Williams tallied 10.

WKU entered halftime with a 42-35 lead. The Hilltoppers shot at a 41.4 percent pace in the first half, including a 7-of-15 effort from beyond the arc. APSU only connected on 36.7 percent of its field goal tries in the first 20 minutes.

The Governors found their stroke after the break, sinking 54.5 percent from the floor in the second half. However, the Hilltoppers were able to hold on by knocking down 11-of-18 free-throw attempts, while shooting 45.8 percent from the field overall.

Horton had four of APSU's five blocked shots. WKU did not have a single rejection in the contest.
