St. Thomas, VI (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Mickey recorded a double-double with a game-high 27 points and 14 rebounds as the LSU Tigers defeated the Weber State Wildcats, 72-58, in the consolation round of the 2014 Paradise Jam.

Also scoring in double figures for the Tigers (3-1) were Keith Hornsby and Jarell Martin with 18 and 11 points, respectively.

The Wildcats (1-3) were paced by Joel Bolomboy who registered a double-double of his own with 18 points and 13 boards, but he was also charged with six of the squad's 18 turnovers on the day. Jeremy Senglin pitched in with another 15 points in the setback.

LSU shot only 38.2 percent from the field in the first half and was 0-of-1 at the free-throw line, yet still came out with a 28-27 lead at the break. Weber State made good on just 1-of-3 behind the 3-point line in the period.

In the second half the Tigers pulled away, using 61.3 percent shooting from the floor and 5-of-5 at the charity stripe, en route to the double-digit victory.

In a game that featured four ties and eight lead changes, the Tigers outscored WSU in the paint by a 52-26 margin.
