Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - DaVonte Lacy netted 22 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead his Washington State Cougars past the UC Davis Aggies, 90-83, in a non-conference clash at Beasley Coliseum.

Josh Hawkinson tallied a double-double for Washington State (6-6), scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds. Que Johnson chipped in with 14 points, and Jordan Railey contributed 12 in the win, which was the second in a row for the Cougars.

Corey Hawkins scored a game-high 29 points, adding in six rebounds and five steals to lead UC Davis (9-2), which snapped a three-game win streak. Avery Johnson added 12 points, and Josh Fox came off the bench to register 10 in the defeat.

Washington State connected on an impressive 60 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, including a 7-of-11 mark from 3-point distance. The Cougars took a commanding 46-32 lead into the midway break after UC Davis shot 46.2 percent from the floor in the period.

There was a role reversal in the second half, as the Aggies made 63.6 percent of their shots, while the Cougars hit on 48.1 percent from the field. But a 14-of-17 mark from the free-throw line helped Washington State keep the advantage until the end.

The Cougars held a 36-27 advantage in bench scoring, and owned a 34-23 edge in rebounding in the winning effort.
