Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Connor Hill and Mike Scott each tallied 19 points to lead the Idaho Vandals to a 77-71 victory over the Washington State Cougars in a non-conference tilt at Beasley Coliseum.

Scott dished out six assists and connected on 8-of-17 shooting for Idaho (3-3), while Bira Seck narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

DaVont? Lacy scored 17 points to pace Washington State (3-4), while Josh Hawkinson tallied a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double. Ike Iroegbu chipped in with 13 points, and Ny Redding contributed 10 in the loss.

Idaho took a 32-31 lead into halftime after the Vandals connected on 37.5 percent of their field goal tries in the opening half. Washington State shot worse, making only 35.5 percent of their attempts from the floor.

The Vandals picked it up in the second half, hitting 53.6 percent of their shot tries with a 4-of-6 mark from 3-point range. The Cougars dipped to an even 35 percent shooting in the period, and made just 2-of-17 from distance en route to the defeat.

Idaho outscored Washington State from 3-point range, 21-15, and held a slight 44-41 edge in rebounding. The Cougars won the battle for points in the paint, 32-24.
