Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyrone Wallace scored a game-high 26 points as the California Golden Bears captured a 76-67 win over the Washington State Cougars in Pac-12 Conference action at Beasley Coliseum.

Wallace, who converted 10-of-17 shots from the floor, also pulled down seven rebounds for the Golden Bears (12-9, 2-6 Pac-12) as they snapped a six-game losing streak. Jabari Bird pitched in with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Brandon Chauca tallied 10 points in a reserve role.

The Cougars (9-11, 3-5) were paced by Davonte Lacy with 24 points before fouling out, followed by Josh Hawkinson with 18 points and a game-high 12 boards in the setback.

Washington State led by as many as five points in the first half, but the team allowed the visitors to make good on 55.2 percent from the field, resulting in a 39-37 advantage at the break for the Bears. The Cougars remained close after 20 minutes thanks to a 13-of-15 showing at the free-throw line.

In the second half WSU made a total of just eight field goals, but again was successful at the charity stripe (10-of-11) before suffering the home loss.

The Cougars came up with 17 points off turnovers on the night, but at the same time shot only 6-of-23 behind the 3-point line.
