Washington Huskies VS. Oregon Ducks

Recap: Washington vs. Oregon

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Andrew Andrews scored a game-high 21 points as the Washington Huskies captured an 85-77 win over the Oregon Ducks in a Pac-12 Conference clash at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Nigel Williams-Goss added 20 points and five assists for the Huskies (13-4, 2-3 Pac-12) as they won for the second time in as many outings. Donaven Dorsey and Robert Upshaw both pitched in with 13 points, the latter also accounting for game highs with 12 rebounds and five blocked shots.

The Ducks (12-6, 2-3) were paced by Dillon Brooks with 16 points and reserve Dwayne Benjamin 15 as the team bowed for the third time in four tries. Joseph Young, who entered the meeting as the top scorer in the Pac-12 with 20.1 ppg, tallied only eight points as he finished 3-of-12 from the field, including just 2-of-8 shooting behind the 3-point line.

Oregon led by as many as 13 points in the first half, thanks in large part to a 6-of-12 effort beyond the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line, en route to a 42-32 advantage at the break. The Huskies managed to convert only 36.7 percent of their field goal attempts through the first 20 minutes of action.

The second half saw Washington connect on an impressive 65.5 percent from the field and build a 13-point lead (74-61) with just over four minutes remaining. Oregon was able to whittle down the difference to four points, 81-77, on a 3- pointer by Young with 34 seconds on the clock, but from there Williams-Goss knocked down four straight free throws to preserve the victory.

The Huskies beat Oregon on the glass, 43-34, and outscored the visitors at the charity stripe, 17-6.
