Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Haws scored 35 points and Kyle Collinsworth finished with a double-double to lead the BYU Cougars to a 91-81 triumph over the Utah State Aggies in a non-conference duel at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Collinsworth had 20 points and 10 rebounds for BYU (6-2), while Anson Winder tacked on 17 points off the bench.

Chris Smith finished with 25 points for Utah State (3-3). Darius Perkins added 21 points, Jalen Moore posted 15 points and 11 rebounds and David Collette chipped in 12 points before fouling out.

BYU clung to a 32-31 lead at the end of the first half after making 13-of-28 field goal attempts. Utah State turned in an 11-of-33 effort in the period.

The Cougars pulled away in the second half when it made 15-of-33 attempts from the field and 27-of-30 at the free-throw line.

BYU had an 18-4 scoring edge off of turnovers and a 46-33 advantage in rebounds.
