Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevon Looney scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds to help lead his UCLA Bruins past the California Golden Bears, 73-54, in a Pac-12 Conference clash at Pauley Pavilion.

Norman Powell scored 14 points, and both Isaac Hamilton and Tony Parker chipped in with 13 apiece for UCLA (10-7, 2-2 Pac-12), which won for the second time in a row. Parker grabbed a team-best eight rebounds, and Bryce Alford contributed 11 points and nine assists in the victory.

Jordan Mathews led all scorers in the contest, netting 23 points for the Golden Bears (11-6, 1-3). David Kravish narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds. Cal has dropped three consecutive decisions.

UCLA shot just 37.1 percent from the floor in the first half, but made 3-of-6 from 3-point range to take a 31-26 lead into the intermission. California connected on 40.7 percent shooting in the frame, and didn't take a single free-throw attempt.

The Bruins exploded offensively in the second half behind a 53.3 percent shooting touch, which included a 5-of-8 mark from distance. The Bears dipped slightly to 40 percent shooting and continued to fall behind to the hosts.

UCLA held edges over Cal in rebounding (40-34), points off turnovers (11-6) and in made free throws (7-4) in the win.
