Santa Barbara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Johnny Dee finished with 22 points as the San Diego Toreros coasted to a 79-65 win over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in a non-conference duel at the Thunderdome.

Dee knocked down 5-of-8 shots from the floor and also tied Chris Sarbaugh for a team-high six rebounds. Chris Anderson provided the Toreros (5-5) with 17 points and six assists, while Vasa Pusica added 10 points and four assists off the bench. The victory snapped USD's three-game losing streak.

For UCSB (4-5), Alan Williams tallied 18 points, eight boards and seven blocks before fouling out. Dajuan Smith and Gabe Vincent netted 13 points apiece. John Green contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for UCSB as it dropped its second decision in a row.

USD connected on 7-of-11 tries from beyond the arc and 8-of-10 shots at the free-throw line in the first half. UCSB went into the break trailing, 41-26, after it committed 10 turnovers and 12 personal fouls in the opening period. The Toreros closed out the first stanza on a 12-2 run.

The Gauchos failed to rally back as they were limited to 39.4 percent efficiency from the floor over the final 20 minutes of the contest. USD protected its lead by sinking 19-of-22 tries at the charity stripe after the break.

The Toreros outscored the hosts, 30-18, from 3-point range. USD's bench outscored the Gauchos' reserves, 31-20.
