Anchorage, AK (SportsNetwork.com) - Stanton Kidd netted 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting as his Colorado State Rams held on down the stretch to beat the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 65-63, in the championship bout of the Great Alaska Shootout at Alaska Airlines Center.

Daniel Bejarano tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Colorado State (6-0). J.J. Avila, Gian Clavell and John Gillon each chipped in with 13 points in the tournament title win.

Alan Williams netted 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the double-double, and John Green came off the bench to score 12 points for UC Santa Barbara (3-3).

Santa Barbara shot an even 50 percent from the floor in the first half, and took a slim 33-32 lead into the intermission. Colorado State connected on 44.8 percent of its field goal tries in the opening frame.

The Rams were a dismal offensive team in the second half, shooting just 24 percent from the floor with a 2-of-8 mark from beyond the 3-point arc. But the team was able to pick up the win with clutch free-throw shooting, going 19- of-21 from the charity stripe in the second half. The Gauchos hit on 40.7 percent of their shot attempts in the half, but only made 6-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Colorado State held a distinct 14-3 advantage in points off turnovers, and owned a 23-10 edge in free throws made, which made the difference.
