Davis, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Hawkins netted 19 points and dished out six assists as the UC Davis Aggies outlasted the Eastern Illinois Panthers, 80-70, in a non-conference tilt at The Pavilion.

JT Adenrele chipped in with 17 points for UC Davis (7-1), while Josh Ritchart added 11 points and six rebounds in the win.

Reggie Smith tallied 16 points to lead Eastern Illinois (3-6). Chris Olivier notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Trae Anderson added 12 points of his own. Dylan Chatman contributed 11 points in the defeat.

UC Davis was strong offensively in the first half, as the Aggies netted 52.4 percent of their field goal tries, including 6-of-10 from 3-point range. Eastern Illinois made 42.3 percent of its attempts from the floor, and went into halftime trailing, 36-32.

The Aggies kept it up in the second half by netting 63.6 percent of their shots, adding in 15-of-17 from the free-throw line. The Panthers managed 42.4 percent from the field, but couldn't keep pace with the home squad.

UC Davis outscored Eastern Illinois from the free-throw line, 23-10, and had a 34-26 edge in points in the paint in the win.
