Birmingham, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - C.J. Washington led all scorers with 14 points, as the UAB Blazers defeated the Morehead State Eagles, 58-48, in a non-conference tilt at Bartow Arena.

Tyler Madison contributed 11 points for the Blazers (3-5) in the win.

As for the Eagles (4-6), Angelo Warner scored 13 points and Corban Collins added 10 points. Lyonell Gaines chipped in with 12 rebounds.

In the first half, Morehead State shot 40.9 percent from the field, compared to just 34.5 percent for UAB. The score was tied 24-24 at the break.

UAB separated itself with a 10-0 run early in the second half and never trailed from that point forward.

The Blazers outscored Morehead State in the paint, 28-20.
