Tulsa, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Rashad Ray and Marquel Curtis each scored 16 points, as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane downed the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 64-53, as part of the MGM Grant Main Event at the Reynolds Center.

Ray and Curtis combined to shoot 11-of-15 from the field for Tulsa (1-1). D'Andre Wright added 14 points in the win.

For Louisiana (1-1), Shawn Long was the only player to score in double figures with 15 points. Brian Williams chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Tulsa shot a modest 43.3 percent from the field in the first half, but it was able to take a 32-21 lead into intermission by holding the Cajuns to just 32 percent shooting.

With the score tied at 40 midway through the second stanza, a Wright layup gave the Golden Hurricane a lead it would never surrender. They pulled away later in the game with a 14-3 run.

Tulsa forced Louisiana to turn the ball over 25 times, which it converted into 20 points.
