New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Devin Thomas registered a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Wake Forest Demon Deacons delivered a 71-49 win over the Tulane Green Wave in a non-conference clash at Devlin Fieldhouse.

Also scoring in double figures for the Demon Deacons (2-0) was Codi Miller- McIntyre who tallied 12 points, to go along with five rebounds and four assists.

Louis Dabney led all scorers with 17 points, adding four steals, in the setback to the Green Wave (0-1) in their season opener. Tre Drye accounted for 11 rebounds and seven points in the losing cause.

Tulane led by four early in the first half, but the team shot a dismal 1-of-12 behind the 3-point line through the first 20 minutes of action, resulting in a 32-27 deficit at the break.

In the second half the hosts completely fell apart as they converted a mere 3- of-20 from the floor and missed all eight chances on the perimeter. On the other side, Wake Forest erupted for 60.7 percent shooting from the field in order to capture the lopsided decision on the road.

The Demon Deacons managed to offset 18 turnovers by holding a 47-29 advantage on the glass.
