Troy, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarvis Summers knocked down 21 points as the Ole Miss Rebels bested the Troy Trojans, 74-64, in non-conference action at Trojan Arena.

Summers shot 8-of-15 from the field for the Rebels (1-1). Stefan Moody and LaDarius White both tallied 14 points in the victory.

Wesley Person netted a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-of-10 at the free- throw line for the Trojans (1-1). Kevin Thomas recorded a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Trojans' offense struggled to get going in the first half, shooting a dismal 20.7 percent (6-of-29) from the floor, including just 2-of-15 from the perimeter. The Rebels, meanwhile, shot 41.9 percent and were up 34-23 at halftime.

The hosts improved to shoot 45.8 percent from the field in the second half, but the visitors outpaced them at 58.6 percent, leading by as many as 15 with 2:44 left to play.

Ole Miss dominated in the paint, where it outscored the home team 40-16, and in bench scoring, where the Rebels had a 25-6 advantage.
