Toledo, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Nathan Boothe scored 19 points to lead the Toledo Rockets to a 71-58 victory over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in a non-conference affair at Savage Arena.

Justin Drummond recorded 12 points and Julius Brown tallied 10 points and eight assists for Toledo (1-0).

Quinton Upshur finished with 13 points, but on just 4-of-16 shooting for Northern Arizona (0-2). Kris Yanku added 11 points off the bench and Jaleni Neely had 10 points.

The first half was competitive, with Toledo managing to take a 31-27 lead at the break. The Rockets connected on 43.5 percent of their shots in the period, while Northern Arizona shot at a 37.9 percent clip. The Lumberjacks kept it close by outscoring the hosts, 9-3, from 3-point range.

Toledo pulled away in the second half, draining 44.8 percent from the floor, while holding Northern Arizona to a 29.7 percent showing.

Northern Arizona lost despite a 43-38 advantage in rebounds. Toledo outscored the Lumberjacks, 22-8, from the free-throw line.
