San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Earvin Morris netted 23 points as the Texas-El Paso Miners coasted to a 73-55 win over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners in a Conference USA matchup at the Convocation Center.

Cedrick Lang added 11 points and eight rebounds for UTEP (12-5, 4-1 C-USA) as it picked up its sixth win in seven outings. Julian Washburn added 11 points, six boards and four assists.

Larry Lewis, Jr. and Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored 11 points apiece for the Roadrunners (8-8, 2-3). Jeromie Hill contributed 10 points.

UTEP took a 30-26 lead into the intermission after it connected on 41.7 percent of its field goal tries in the opening stanza. UTSA was limited to 33.3 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

The Miners pulled away by making good on 54.8 percent of its field goal tries and assisting 10 of its 17 makes from the floor after the break. UTSA converted only 5-of-13 shots at the charity stripe over the final 20 minutes of the contest.

Despite the loss, the Roadrunners finished with a 35-32 advantage in total rebounds.
