San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Denzell Watts finished with 17 points as the UAB Blazers downed the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners, 65-57, in a Conference USA tilt at the Convocation Center.

Chris Cokley contributed 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the floor for UAB (11-11, 7-2 C-USA) as it picked up its fourth win in five outings. William Lee led the Blazers on the glass with eight boards.

Jeromie Hill registered a double-double for UTSA (10-10, 4-5) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored nine of his 13 points in the second half.

The Blazers managed to overcome an 11-point deficit to take a 33-29 lead into halftime despite hitting on only 1-of-8 tries from behind the 3-point line in the first half. The Roadrunners were outrebounded, 17-12, in the opening stanza.

UTSA struggled offensively after the break as it was held to 29.4 percent efficiency from the floor, including a 2-of-12 clip from 3-point range. UAB extended its lead to as many as 14 and drained 10-of-13 free-throw attempts over the final 20 minutes of play.

UAB's bench outscored the Roadrunners' reserves, 37-6.
