Recap: Texas A&M vs. Auburn

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Auburn Tigers used a second-half surge to top Texas A&M 66-59 in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

K.T. Harrell led the 13th-seeded Tigers (14-19) with 25 points and gave them consecutive SEC wins for the first time this season.

Auburn advances to play LSU, the fourth seed, in Friday's quarterfinals.

Without leading scorer Danuel House due to a foot injury, the fifth-seeded Aggies (20-11) may have seen their tournament dreams come to an end. Alex Caruso scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Texas A&M shot just 30.4 percent in the second half, including 0-of-10 from long distance. It took over 11 minutes for the Aggies to hit their second shot from the floor, and by then, the Tigers had gone on a 27-8 run to turn a 10- point halftime deficit into a nine-point lead.

Mistakes also hurt Texas A&M with Auburn scoring 20 points off 19 Aggies turnovers.

An 11-0 run near the midpoint of the first half, keyed by 3s from Caruso, Jordan Green and Peyton Allen, gave Texas A&M a 19-12 lead.

The Aggies took their largest lead of 11 points when Caruso hit another 3 at 2:55, and they led 33-23 at the break.
