Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Will Cummings finished with 21 points and four assists as the top-seeded Temple Owls cruised to a 90-77 win over the fifth-seeded George Washington Colonials in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament at the Liacouras Center.

Jesse Morgan added 20 points for the Owls (25-10), who will advance to face either Louisiana Tech or Texas A&M. Devin Coleman scored 13 points, Josh Brown had 11 points and Jaylen Bond pulled down 15 rebounds.

Kethan Savage paced George Washington (22-13) with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the floor. Kevin Larsen supplied 19 points, seven boards and four assists, while Yuta Watanabe netted 15 points.

Temple took a 38-30 lead into halftime after it outrebounded the visitors, 19-15, and converted 8-of-9 tries at the free-throw line in the opening period. The Colonials were limited to 40 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

The Owls pulled away after the break by hitting on 60 percent of their field goal attempts. Savage scored 16 points over the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Temple dominated on the interior as it outscored GW, 34-24, in the paint and held a 38-26 advantage in total rebounds.
