San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Adams collected 20 points and five rebounds as the Wyoming Cowboys outlasted the San Jose State Spartans, 64-59, in a Mountain West Conference battle at The Event Center.

Larry Nance Jr. tallied a double-double for Wyoming (13-2, 2-0 MWC) with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Charles Hankerson Jr. added 12 points, and Riley Grabau chipped in 10 in the win, which was the fifth in a row for the Cowboys.

Darryl Gaynor II netted 17 points to pace San Jose State (2-12, 0-2) in the loss. Ivo Basor contributed 14 points, and Rashad Muhammad checked in with 13 points. The Spartans have lost four consecutive contests.

San Jose State took a 31-23 lead into the intermission after shooting 48 percent from the floor in the first half, which included a 5-of-13 mark from 3-point distance. Wyoming netted 40 percent of its attempts from the floor in the frame.

But it was the visiting Cowboys that came out roaring in the second half behind 61.1 percent shooting, adding in 18-of-24 from the free-throw line to grab the lead back. The Spartans connected on 41.4 percent of their tries, but only went 1-of-2 from the charity stripe in the period.

Wyoming vastly outscored San Jose State from the free-throw line, 23-3, and owned a 30-24 advantage in points in the paint.
