Maui, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Trey Kell scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Steve Fisher set a school record for wins as No. 15 San Diego State cruised past Pittsburgh, 74-57, in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational.
Fisher has amassed the most victories as a head coach in SDSU history, surpassing the 316 George Ziegenfuss accumulated from 1948-69.
The Aztecs (5-0) led virtually wire-to-wire with a 58.7 percent shooting display and advanced to play No. 2 Arizona in Wednesday's final.
Winston Shepard and Angelo Chol contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively, in the rout.
Pitt (3-2) committed 17 turnovers, shot just 37.7 percent from the floor and only had one player, James Robinson, score in double figures. Robinson netted 17 points on 5-of-12 shooting.
There was no rust for SDSU coming off Monday's double-overtime win over BYU, as the Aztecs connected on 62.5 percent from the field in building a 14-point halftime lead.
Kevin Zabo's 3-pointer in the final minute of the opening half capped a 9-2 run and gave SDSU a 39-25 cushion at the break.
Kell followed up his 12-point first half with a corner 3 out of the break, and Shepard's three-point play stretched the margin to 20.
