Corpus Christi, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Travis Daniels racked up 21 points and six assists as the Mississippi State Bulldogs coasted to a 75-50 win over the Saint Louis Billikens in the semifinals of the Corpus Christi Classic at the American Bank Center.

Gavin Ware added 16 points and blocked three shots for MSU (5-0), which will play TCU for the tourney title on Saturday. Fred Thomas scored 14 points, while I.J. Ready handed out five assists.

Austin McBrook led the Billikens (3-2) with 10 points.

MSU opened the contest on a 9-0 run and never looked back. The Bulldogs took a 37-27 lead into the intermission after they knocked down 63.6 percent of their field goal tries, including a 4-of-5 clip from 3-point range in the opening period. SLU was limited to 40.7 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

The Billikens continued to struggle offensively after the break, as they were held to 32.1 percent shooting from the floor. MSU converted half of its 32 field goal attempts to extend its advantage on the scoreboard over the final 20 minutes of the contest.

The Bulldogs enjoyed a 39-24 edge in the rebounding battle and assisted 17 of their 30 makes from the floor. SLU finished with four assists against 11 turnovers.
